Felicity has two new papers looking at how climate structures biodiversity patterns in tropical forests. Her first paper in Global Change Biology shows how rapid changes in precipation across fine spatial scales cause bird communities to flip the phenology of their reproductive cycles. This study came out of the Aves de Bosque Montano Peruano study system that she helped to create in the Peruvian Andes.

The second study comes from her collaborations with REASSEMBLY project in Ecuador. Looking at a chronosequence of post-agricultural plots in the Choco Rainforest, she quantifies temporal patterns in the recovery of forest microclimates.
